What a load of bollards!

Reading all the posts decrying the decission to allow traffic along the prom - albeit in one direction only - almost every one stated something along the line of there being no demarcation between traffic and pedestrians.
I repeat; What a load of bollards!

Visited recently and “sort of” liked it, at least an improvement in my opinion but any betting people here? How many bent or demolished bollards this time next year? Not a betting person myself but I guess at 27

I think they have spoilt the prom, they had an opportunity here & messed up letting traffic back on the front, the bollards look like the after thought they are.
Laughed yesterday reading Cyprus Mail, taxi drivers are protesting about the smaller taxi rank and would you believe moaning about the bus stop, because it will affect there business, they seem to rule everything from the airport to paphos

Hi,

Went for walk yesterday (Sunday) to see how the situation is now that Poisedon Avenue has been opened to traffic. Like everyone else, not too impressed. Yes there are a few parking bays but generally the traffic has to keep moving and where does it have to move to-the car park! Yes all traffic has to go through the car park to get back onto the road, it seemed chaotic to me as car after car was trying to get out of the car park while other cars where trying to get in. But then we are in Cyprus!

Just to say that I returned from Paphos 10/09/2008.

I went into the Harbour Area a few times over my stay and found the changes an improvement. That is to say, it looks more spacious and cleaner although the obvious disadvantages mentioned before regarding lack of a wall and seating still exist. I visited in the evenings and at this time it was closed for traffic. I am not sure about the arrangements in the daytime though.

I was disappointed with the new look of the harbour at night as there isn't enough street lighting to make it look attractive. There also need to be more seats along the front.

Although before the alterations the front looked a bit shabby I think that it looks very unwelcoming now.
